Radio-pharmaceutical Production Chemist

Required Qualifications (as evidenced by an attached resume): 
M.S. or Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Organic Chemistry, Radiochemistry or related field. Experience either in producing 11 C- and/or 18 F- labeled PET radiotracers routinely for use in clinical and/or research studies, or, three (3) or more years in an organic synthetic chemistry laboratory.

Preferred Qualifications:
Experience developing and producing PET radiotracers for clinical use in a cGMP compliant environment. Experience operating automated synthesis modules for 11 C- and/or 18 F- labeled PET radiotracer production.

Brief Description of Duties:
The Radiopharmaceutical Production Chemist will play a lead role in the production of PET radiotracers for human use, and the development of standard operating procedures for tracer production and maintenance of the Radiochemistry Laboratory.

 • Develop 11C- and 18F-labeled tracers synthesis method and routinely producing them for human clinical imaging use.

• Participate in the process of quality control and release of PET radiopharmaceuticals.

• Responsible for maintenance of cGMP clean room and production facilities, batch records

• Draft meeting abstracts, manuscripts, laboratory SOPs and other documents, etc.
