
Call for Nominations - Directors & Officers
The time has come to elect new Directors and Officers for ISCBFM. As a valued member, your participation in the nomination process is crucial. Your nominations will help shape the future leadership of our organization.
Important Details:
- Nomination Deadline: March 3, 2025
- Submission: Nominations, along with a biography and high resolution photo, should be submitted through the Members Only page on the ISCBFM website.
- Eligibility: Only Regular, Early Career, Scholar, and Emeritus Members in good standing and active for at least 90 days are eligible to vote.
NOMINATION OF DIRECTORS:
Six Directors (Professors Karen Gertz, Fahmeed Hyder, Hidehiko Okazawa, Raymond Swanson, Gregory del Zoppo and Dr.Takashi Shichita) will complete their terms this year.
- Nominate a candidate, along with the names of 2 members who support the nomination, through the Director's Nomination link on the Members Only Page.
- Each member may nominate up to 5 candidates.
- Confirm that the candidate accepts the nomination and provide a brief biography (5-8 lines) including position, affiliation, major research area, and other relevant information. A photograph should be included.
- We seek balanced representation from Asia, Europe, and North America on the Board of Directors. Please propose nominees from all three geographical groups.
NOMINATION OF OFFICERS:
This year, Professor Sunghee Cho will complete her term as President, and our current President Elect, Professor Maria Moro will begin her two-year term as President. Nominations for the position of Treasurer and Secretary are not needed at this time; Dr. Bojana Stefanovic will complete her term as Treasurer, and our current Treasurer Elect, Professor Cesar Borlongan will begin his term as Treasurer and the current Secretary, Dr. William Pearce, is in the 2nd year of his 6-year term.
- Submit suggestions for the office of President-Elect (to serve as President for 2027-2029) through the Officer's Nomination link on the Members Only page. From the list of suggestions, at least two candidates will be selected for the final ballot.
Deadlines:
- Call for Nominations: February 5, 2025
- Close of Nominations: March 3, 2025
- Voting Opens: March 17, 2025
- Voting Closes: April 11, 2025
- Results Declared: At the upcoming Meeting of the Members in Seoul, Republic of Korea (Monday, June 2nd during the General Assembly)
